  • Returns: 30 days from delivery, unused and complete, with a return authorisation. See the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
  • Classroom sizes: the classroom kits are sized for a typical class working in small groups. The group count is on the pack and the packing list.

  • An adult supervises the whole activity — not just the setup.
  • Not for children under 3. Kits contain small parts that are a choking hazard.
  • Nothing in a kit is food. Do not taste, eat or drink any material or sample.
  • Filtered water is not drinking water. Pour it away when the investigation is over.
  • Wash hands after handling soil, samples or filter media.
  • Collect water samples only from safe, shallow, accessible places, with an adult present. Never from drains, outfalls, or deep or fast-moving water.
  • Store kits away from pets and younger siblings between sessions.

These kits teach measurement and scientific reasoning. They are not water-safety tests. If you have a concern about your drinking water, contact your water utility or a certified laboratory.

For one child at home

Start with the Build-a-Water-Filter STEM Kit at $24.95 — it is the classic investigation and the one most families do first. The Complete Water Scientist Bundle combines three kits at a lower price.

For a class or co-op group

The Water Cycle in a Bag Classroom Kit and the Classroom Clean Water Challenge Kit come as class sets with printed recording sheets and a teacher guide.

Mostly. Trays, housings, media and measurement tools can be rinsed and reused. Consumables — muddy-water sachets, colourant vials, test strips, seeds — are the parts that run out. Ask us about refills.

No, and we will not pretend otherwise. The kits teach how measurement works. They are not certified tests and no reading from them should be used to decide whether water is safe to drink.

Check the packing list first, then contact us. We will send the missing part or replace the kit — your choice of replacement or refund if it arrived damaged.

Yes. The filter kit covers module five of Water Science for Young Explorers, and the Young Water Scientist Bundle pairs the two at a combined price.
