This policy covers self-paced online courses. Downloadable files are covered by the Digital Products Policy.
Who you are buying from: Watershed Learning LLC, 5900 Balcones Drive, Suite 100, Austin, TX 78731, USA. Support email: contact@watershedlearning.space.
1. When access starts
As soon as your payment is confirmed. You receive an enrolment email containing your access details and a Start Here guide. If it has not arrived within an hour, check your spam folder and then contact us — we will not leave you locked out of something you paid for.
2. You need an account
Courses require an account so your progress, completions and certificate are saved to you. You can create it during checkout. The account belongs to the purchasing adult — parent, guardian or teacher — not to the child. See the Privacy Policy for why.
3. How long access lasts
- Access runs for 12 months from enrolment unless the course page states otherwise.
- Within that period you can revisit any lesson as often as you like.
- We will email you before access ends.
- Downloadable workbooks and student pages included with a course are yours to keep after access ends — save them while you are enrolled.
4. What you need
- A device with a current version of Chrome, Safari, Firefox or Edge.
- A reasonable internet connection. Courses work on a laptop, tablet or phone.
- Nothing to install.
- Household materials for the investigations — always listed on the course page before you buy, and always chosen so they are cheap and easy to find.
5. Who the licence covers
- A household enrolment covers the children in your own home, working under one account.
- A teacher enrolment covers one named teacher. It does not cover a whole department or school — ask us about school licences.
- Do not share login details outside your household or classroom, record lessons, or re-upload course material anywhere.
6. Course updates
If we improve a course while you are enrolled, you get the improvements at no extra charge for as long as your access lasts. Substantial rewrites released as a new course are a separate purchase, and we will say so clearly.
7. Certificates
Learners who complete every lesson receive a Certificate of Completion. It records that the course was finished. It is not accreditation, credit, a grade or a qualification, and we do not claim it will be recognised by any school, district or licensing body. If you need it to count towards something formal, check with that body first.
8. Suspension for misuse
Access can be suspended if login details are shared beyond the licence, if course material is redistributed, or if the platform is used abusively. We contact you before suspending anything, unless the misuse is clear and ongoing.
9. Adult supervision
Courses are written for children aged roughly 8–14 and include hands-on activities with water and household materials. An adult must supervise the practical activities. Course content is educational; it is not a substitute for adult judgement about what is safe in your own home.
10. Refunds
The 7-day, under-20%-consumed rule and how consumption is measured are set out in the Refund & Cancellation Policy.
