What is included

What learners actually do

1. Make a standard sample of dirty water so every test starts the same
2. Build a first filter and record what comes through
3. Measure clarity against the comparison card — not by eye alone
4. Change one layer, repeat, and compare
5. Explain, using their own results, why the improved filter works better

• Tap water and a jug
• A tray or sink to work over — this activity is messy on purpose
• Paper towels
• Optional: a timer

Common questions

Can we reuse the kit?

The media can be rinsed and reused several times. The muddy-water sachets are the consumable part.

Does it make water safe to drink?

No. It removes visible particles. It does not remove bacteria, viruses or dissolved chemicals, and filtered water from this kit must never be drunk.
